Americans are fascinated with Indian culture. Indian-inspired cuisine and clothing – even Bollywood films – have become quite fashionable. We are intrigued by the image of a land full of exotic landscapes, temples, and spirituality. India seems like the perfect setting for a journey, set against a colorful back drop. There also is such a poignant contrast between the flourishing economic opportunities and extreme poverty, and our hearts go out to Indian people.
