London: 1893. An exraordinary survival given that the program is for a single performance of the Fields’ play. This is the only one of their dramatic works to reach the stage and its failure was legendary. The four act play is based on an incident in the Hungarian Rising of 1848. According to the program, a one act poetic play in French called “Le Pater” by Francois Coppee directly followed the Fields’ play. Light wear to edges of wrappers and a few small spots of soiling Single leaf, folded to form 4 pages.
